Poker is commonly played among friends as a fun and competitive way to spend an evening. There are multiple different variants of poker available to play, though some of them are not offered online or in any casino. Here are a couple of games that make perfect home poker options.

Pineapple

This is one of the more obscure versions of the game and is not commonly found online. This is considered one of the more fun versions and the rules are as follows: firstly, every player is dealt three cards. Then there is betting round just before the pre-flop occurs. At this point each player then discards one of the cards they have been dealt. The flop is then laid out and the game continues on in the same way as Texas Hold’em.

Texas Hold’em

Texas Hold’em is probably the most commonly played version of poker. This is due to its ease of play and straightforward rules. Each player is dealt two cards and then three community cards are placed with the face showing on the table. Following this there is a round of betting when an additional card is added to the first three. Another round commences and a fifth and final card is placed in the centre. Players can make card combinations using their two cards and the cards in the community pile, using just five cards in total. There are numerous other games that can be played at home. In fact, all of them can, though some will have more explaining to do. For example, HORSE is an excellent game at a tournament to showcase a professional’s talent but in the comfort of a home the idea of explaining and then playing through five different poker variants is just a bit more trouble than it’s worth. At home, simple is best.

All online casinos offer their players bonuses of some kind or another, in order to attract players to begin playing or stay playing on their site. Poker rooms are no different. There are a number of different bonuses that poker rooms offer, and these have a variety of different benefits for the players that choose to use them.

No-Deposit Bonus

No-deposit bonuses are sometimes offered to new players, and are simply small cash amounts that the player receives as soon as their account is activated. There is no deposit needed by the player, and the amount will be instantly credited to the player’s account, which can then be used to access poker games.

Match Deposit

This is the most commonly offered bonus, and usually firstly requires the player to make a real money deposit into their account once it has been registered and activated. Depending on the casino, the match that is made will be a different level, and, though most casinos will offer 100% match, others will offer as low as 50% or as high as 200%. The value that can be matched will also vary, with some casinos offering a match to the value of just £100 while others will match it up to £1000 or even more. This is where it is up to the individual player to do their own research into which casino offers a better option. This bonus allows new players the chance to play with even more money than they would have initially, and therefore provides them with ample time to get acquainted with the game. All bonuses do come with wagering requirements, and these will also vary between the different poker rooms. These must be fulfilled if any bonus money is to be withdrawn. However, on the whole, poker bonuses provide the perfect opportunity for players to increase their online bankroll.

In recent years, with the increase in technological development, virtual reality or VR has seen a huge leap forward. Using a headset, the system uses a combination of images and sounds with which to create a realistic environment for the person wearing the headset. The equipment is then used by the player to look around the virtual environment in order to play the game. Full systems may also incorporate a chair so that vibrations and other physical effects can be enacted in order to create a fully realized virtual world. VR has been around for a while but it wasn’t until relatively recently that the technology saw its popularity take off. The improved graphics in popular games had a hand in it, as did the technological advancements in 3D imagery shown in cinemas. Now there are a number of games that can be operated in VR. For example, The Talos Principle, initially released in 2014 was a relatively unknown game. Putting it to VR saw it suddenly shoot in popularity. A story driven puzzle game, the initially simple premise is made that much more exciting with the VR inclusion. Games range from incarnations of Resident Evil with superb graphics through to those that are more basic such as Job Seekers simulator – a rather basic looking game though nevertheless still fun. Casinos are also joining in this fad with providers such as NetEnt looking to create VR slot games in order to create a more immersive gaming experience. With the partnering with Oculus Rift, these games can now be played with the Oculus Rift headsets. These games now allow players to sit and play at a slot machine, wander around the casino and have a wide view of the area, exactly as one would have in a land-based casino.

Poker tournaments are exciting and stressful at the same time. They do, however, provide a good opportunity to hone your skills and potentially win some good money. With this in mind, it is important to be prepared, so as not to squander the opportunity. First of all, you should have a strategy in place. This will require some preparation, perhaps looking into the players you might face. Some people are there to win big, so knowing your opponents is a big step towards figuring out your game plan for the tournament as a whole. In this way you can also target weaker players, knowing that you can take more risks with them. Look at the way each player plays, how he or she bluffs and more. All of this can be vital if you make it through to the final tables. There are also many different play styles, ranging from aggressive and reckless to passive. Finding the right mix here is crucial. Balance is always needed in your own game, and it is important not to get swayed by other players. This comes back around to focus and being able to take control. When things don’t go your way, it is important not to panic. Be calm and focused at all times. Finally, it is important to be flexible. There will always be something unexpected – after all, that is the game. Keeping your cool is the first step, particularly if you make it to the final table, it would be a shame to waste such a valuable opportunity by losing it. It is best to simply be prepared for all eventualities before even getting into the game as a whole. Following these tips won’t guarantee your success, but it will help you to be aware of the game around you. Practicing focus and control are essential, and will definitely stand you in good stead, no matter what the game.

Poker is an old game that has been around for at least a couple of centuries, but in the last few years online poker has come into prominence. This has brought a whole new dimension to poker, allowing technology to play a big part in the game that millions of people around the world know and love. Let’s take a look at the latest tech advances in online poker. When online poker first came around, the poker software used was largely unsophisticated. Poker bots were introduced to allow players to have someone artificial to play for them. In the early days they were very predictable and easy to play against. However, as the software has advanced, they are now a far more realistic portrayal of a real person playing poker. Many poker sites are now banning them however, as it can give players an unfair advantage. As poker software has advanced in the last few years, other forms of software have also been introduced. Poker trackers, as you might have guessed, keep a track of the hands that you play whilst you play poker online. They are the most commonly used forms of poker software. They can be very useful because online poker can be fast and frenetic, with some players playing thousands of hands. Therefore, it can be impossible to keep track of everything and that’s where the poker trackers come into the equation. Whilst poker software is as of yet no means perfect, it is without a doubt going to play a huge part in the future of online poker. They offer poker players a whole new dimension from what could be offered before. Poker software in its infancy was arguably a hindrance, but this is definitely no longer the case. And with time, they will no doubt only get better.

Do you know if you’re Gambling Too Much? https://poker-playing-online.com/do-you-know-if-youre-gambling-too-much/ Wed, 08 Nov 2017 09:20:11 +0000 https://poker-playing-online.com/?p=48 Read More...

Gambling is a fun pastime. The thrill of supplementing one’s income is a good one, but if you are not careful it can quickly spiral out of control. The dream becomes a nightmare. There are, of course, a few tell-tale signs that gambling is becoming more than just a hobby. Knowing what to look for in your behaviour, or indeed a friend or loved one’s behaviour, can save everyone a lot of heartache. The following article outlines just a few of the ways to prevent an addiction taking hold.

Don’t Overspend

There are a few ways to play that will ensure safe play. For example, if you only think of gambling as a pastime or entertainment rather than a job to make money, you are less likely to get sucked in. It is also important to play with money that you can afford to lose. Setting a specific bankroll aside and spending only that is very important. It should not be dipped into for any other reason – it is solely for gambling. This goes both ways, and other money, for example for bills or rent, should also not be dipped into for gambling purposes. Keep these cash streams entirely separate.

Don’t Play for Hours

It can also be useful to set a time limit for how long you will play, as it is all too easy to get sucked in. In addition to this, taking a break is also important. Snapping out of the zone may stop you from playing excessively. It is also important to try and play in moderation, balancing gambling with other activities so that it does not become the sole area of entertainment in your life.

Don’t Lose Your Head

Finally, it is also important to play in a balanced frame of mind. Never play when sad, angry or drunk as this will seriously impair any judgments you may make.

There are more types of Poker games than you could probably count in a day. Many of them are smaller versions of more popular ones, others are twists from the classics, and still others are modern versions of older games that are still enjoyed by millions of players worldwide every single day. While all of these variants are not necessarily that popular, many are, and each one is quite different from the next. Each game appeases to a different type of player, and the perfect game for you is going to be the one that fits your personal style (and bankroll).

Video Poker

For a brief summary of all the various Poker games available, we could start with Video Poker. Before Poker was played online, we had Video Poker machines that were a bit similar to slot machines, although they had a different form factor most of the time. The original ones even had real decks of cards inside of them that randomly spun around to make the hands. How times have changed! Nowadays, if you hear the term Video Poker, you are probably hearing someone talking about a ‘virtual’ Video Poker game. These are styled after the older games but they generally run modern RGNs.

Table Games

Other forms of Poker that you can find online are simulated tables. Some of these have no other live players sitting at the ‘table’, while others are full of other players, just as they would be in a real casino. These come with many different Poker variants, but the most common are Texas Hold’em, and Five-card Draw. The cool thing about these types of tables is that you are playing in a specific order with other people at a table, so unlike video poker, you get to learn about more about how the game unfolds.

Live Casino

For those looking for an even more authentic experience, Live Casino is a great way to go. All the famous Poker variants are played at the Live Casinos, and there are a few top-rated providers who host these games. The way they work is that they are basically a real table; they just have cameras filming the table and the dealer for the players to see, instead of them actually having to go to a land-based casino. No matter what your personal style may be, there is going to be a perfect Poker variant for you. Happy hunting!

Poker Betting Strategies https://poker-playing-online.com/poker-betting-strategies/ Tue, 19 Sep 2017 13:25:27 +0000 https://poker-playing-online.com/?p=14 Read More...

Playing Poker online is quite different than playing in a smoke-filled room in a dark basement somewhere. The atmosphere is bright and friendly, and the people you meet are playing to have a good time and enjoy themselves (mostly). More importantly, one of the biggest differences is in how the strategies work. It is very difficult to employ any of the classic Poker strategies in online Poker because there isn’t the same human element that exists when sitting at a table with other people.Play the numbers. You aren’t going to get to bully anyone into calling all the time or folding when you want them to in an online game. Everyone is going to do whatever they want. Therefore, all of your strategies should involve trying to remember the likelihood of getting certain hands over others, and managing your bankroll; the latter being much more important. A good rule of thumb when betting online is to remember that the pot should guide your decisions about how much to bet over every other aspect of the game. If the pot is at €50, bet €40. If it is at €100, bet €80. By playing like this, you can be sure that you won’t be blowing your money into the digital winds. There are many great strategies that you can learn to become a stronger Poker player, but it is better to perfect one before moving on to the next. Start yourself with a safe, standard style of play that leans more to the conservative side and then start to slowly add in new elements of strategy as they make sense to you. One of the biggest mistakes that new players make is to begin using a long list of strategies that they don’t even really get. When this happens, all their work backfires and they have no idea where they went wrong. Always stay safe first. What seems daring to you is mainly because you do not understand it properly.

Whether you are new to playing Poker online or you have been at it for a while, it is always a good idea to keep a list of the current top online poker sites at the ready. There are differences in payment options, security, types of Poker offered, contact systems and customer support, and site navigation to name just a few. The type of player you are will make a big difference in which of these top online poker casinos is best for you. Take a look at one of them, or both of our suggestions, and choose the one that you feel is the best fit for you and your needs.

PartyPoker

PartyPoker is one of the best Poker Sites around. They run huge tournaments that all can enjoy, whether you join to play or to watch. The site offers a 100% Welcome bonus for first-timers for deposits of up to €500 and on top of that, there are plenty of other bonuses for the players who stick around a while. There always seems to be a promotion or two running which is nice, but even better is the actual experience while playing. The software and platform used by PartyPoker is a joy to use and runs very fast.

888Poker

If Welcome Bonuses are what you after, 888Poker is even better than PartyPoker. They also give a nice 100% match bonus, but their top limit is €1000. That is the kind of Welcome Bonus that can keep a person going for quite a while if they are careful with their cash flow. Another great thing about 888Poker is that they run a complete range of Poker variations which is really nice to see. No matter what flavour of the game you might be looking for, 888Poker is there to provide. Now that you have some idea as to what you should be looking for in an online Poker casino, you should be able to spot a few good ones on your own online searches. Just remember that security and reputable casino providers should always be at the top of your considerations, and just beneath that should be the payment methods. It doesn’t do much good to join what looks like a perfect poker casino just to learn that you aren’t going to get your money for a week. There are plenty of safe casinos offering payments methods that allow for almost instant deposits and withdrawals. The only other thing that you really have to worry about is if the casino has the Poker game that you prefer. Have fun!
