Poker is commonly played among friends as a fun and competitive way to spend an evening. There are multiple different variants of poker available to play, though some of them are not offered online or in any casino. Here are a couple of games that make perfect home poker options.
Pineapple
This is one of the more obscure versions of the game and is not commonly found online. This is considered one of the more fun versions and the rules are as follows: firstly, every player is dealt three cards. Then there is betting round just before the pre-flop occurs. At this point each player then discards one of the cards they have been dealt. The flop is then laid out and the game continues on in the same way as Texas Hold’em.
Texas Hold’em
Texas Hold’em is probably the most commonly played version of poker. This is due to its ease of play and straightforward rules. Each player is dealt two cards and then three community cards are placed with the face showing on the table. Following this there is a round of betting when an additional card is added to the first three. Another round commences and a fifth and final card is placed in the centre. Players can make card combinations using their two cards and the cards in the community pile, using just five cards in total. There are numerous other games that can be played at home. In fact, all of them can, though some will have more explaining to do. For example, HORSE is an excellent game at a tournament to showcase a professional’s talent but in the comfort of a home the idea of explaining and then playing through five different poker variants is just a bit more trouble than it’s worth. At home, simple is best.
